The West Central Valley Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams participated in the AC/GC Relays in Guthrie Center on Thursday, with freshman Kya Andrist charging the way with a third place finish in the Girls 400 Meter Dash.

Andrist ran a time of 1:09.74 in the 400 Meter Dash, which would be good enough to nab third. Also, freshman Lorelei Grinnell placed fifth at 1:12.95, then freshman Lily Clausen marked fifth in the 1500 Meter Run at 5:47.61. And Wildcat junior Willow Ray led the way in the Girls High Jump going a distance of five feet and seven inches.

On the boys side, West Central Valley sophomore Ethan Balsmeier went 24.61 seconds in the 200 Meter Dash to capture fifth place, junior Mason Fuller ran 54.63 seconds for third in the 400 Meters, while sophomore Mason Fortney posted five feet and four inches in the high jump event to tally fourth.

The Wildcats will travel to Van Meter on Monday for the Bulldog Invitational. The full results from the AC/GC Relays can be found by clicking here.
