It’s back-to-back high school track and field meets for the Paton-Churdan Rockets, as long as the weather cooperates. After competing in Guthrie Center last night at ACGC, Coach Kory Jeschke’s girls and boys are scheduled for a meet at East Sac County later this afternoon. Thursday’s weather was close to ideal, but storms could occur this afternoon.

The Rockets were fourth among the boys’ teams. Juniors Blaise Schilling and Trevon Keely scored most of the points. Keely won three events; the high jump with a Drake Relays Blue Standard automatic qualifying height of 6′ 7″, the 100 meter dash in 11:45 seconds with Schilling second at :11.50, Keely also won the 200 meter dash in :23.08. Schilling went 20′ 3″ in the long jump to win that event.

The P-C girls did not have any first place finishes. They finished ninth as a team and were led by junior Alivya Smith in the discus by placing fifth. Coach Jeschke reports no distance was given
