The West Central Valley Girls Soccer Team was on the road in Atlantic on Thursday for a single match, beating the Trojans 2-0 as senior Meleah Speichinger continues to add to her goal total.
The Wildcats and Trojans played great defense in the first half, as the game was scoreless at the break. The beginning of the second half wouldn’t have any scoring, until Speichinger broke through at the 61 minute mark to give West Central Valley the 1-0 edge. Eight minutes later, she would add another goal, making it 2-0, and ultimately lead the Wildcats to 4-0 on the season.
Through the first four contests, Speichinger is responsible for eight of West Central Valley’s 20 goals they have so far. The Wildcats will be hosting the Valley Soccer Tournament tomorrow in Stuart, as they get set to play Pella Christian tomorrow at 11am.
