The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Board met in regular session April 15th.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that the Boards jointly approved the 2025-26 adjusted school calendar, 2026-27 certified budget, and the Class of 2026 graduates. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the AC Board approved purchases using Code Joy Grant funds, and shares on the grant.

“It’s a reimbursable grant. We have to spend the money to get the grant back. So we went ahead and approved that. I’m really looking forward to some of the Code Joy products and classroom engagement activities that happen and really, really looking forward to seeing what that looks like next year.”

Rasmussen mentions that the AC Board also approved a classroom HVAC purchase. He adds that the GC Board approved activity cooperative sharing agreements, set a public hearing for an instructional support levy, the high school master schedule, the 2027 Washington DC senior trip and a bill from 7D Services for storm water system work.
