The West Central Valley Girls and Boys Soccer Teams swept their way through the Valley Tournament in Stuart on Saturday, as both squads remained undefeated.

The Wildcat Boys began the day playing Hillcrest Academy, picking up a 4-1 win. In that contest, junior Garret Wolfe scored two goals, then seniors Trajan Rummel and Aiden Brandon notched one goal each. Meanwhile, sophomore Mason Fortney had three saves versus the Ravens.

Next up for West Central Valley was facing Pella Christian, coming away with a 1-0 victory, with sophomore Luis Huerta tallying the lone goal for the Wildcats. Fortney also had three saves in that game.

On the girls side, West Central Valley first battled Pella Christian, winning 1-0 as senior Braylie Harding scored 14 minutes into the contest. The Wildcats then took on the West Branch Bears, and West Central Valley won 5-2. During that game, senior Meleah Speichinger and junior Addilynn Richter garnered two goals each, as well as freshman Alexia Dullard who captured the other goal for the Wildcats.

Both West Central Valley Boys and Girls were named champions of the Valley Tournament, and moved to 6-0 on the season. The Wildcats will travel to Des Moines to play Grand View Christian tomorrow, as the girls start at 5pm, followed by the boys at 7pm.
