It is National Library Week and there are a variety of services that the Adel Public Library provides beyond books.

Patron Services Librarian Amy Puck says the library offers a number of digital services, including Hoopla and Libby where patrons can stream movies or check out e-books. She adds that they also offer physical services through free Wi-Fi, public computers, copying and printing and more.

Puck details that National Library Week is a good opportunity to highlight what the library has to offer to the Adel community.

“For those who haven’t been to the library for a while or maybe haven’t been since they were children, it’s a great opportunity to come in and see what we offer. So much more than what you may have been used to growing up. It’s a good place to bring the children when it’s cold and rainy. It is no longer (a place where) you have to be completely silent. You can come here and have fun. The best part about it is you are not required to spend a dime to walk in our doors.”

She encourages community members to check out the Adel Public Library’s website to learn more about their services and programs.
