
On Tuesday, the Perry Bluejays soccer team traveled to State Center to face off against the Central Iowa United Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference play. The Bluejays picked up the victory, shutting out the Trojans 7-0.
Four seemed to be the lucky number for the Bluejays as Perry notched in four goals against the Trojans in the first half alone. In the second half, the Bluejays continued to dominate, notching in three more goals to secure a 7-0 victory. Jacobo Cerna-Gomez had a fantastic night out on the pitch, notching in four goals of his own for the Bluejays, alongside Oscar Panama with scored twice, with Alex Zamora scoring in the first half helping lead up to the 7-0 conference victory.
The Bluejays look at an exciting contest on Monday, traveling to Nevada to face off against the Cubs in conference play. The action is set to begin at 7:30pm.
