Trevon Keely

Trevon Keely set a new personal record in the high jump Tuesday in Atlantic at the CAM Classic track & field meet hosted by CAM (Anita). The Paton-Churdan junior cleared the bar at 6′ 9″ and moved into a tie for the highest jump this season by an Iowa high school boy regardless of size of school. The 2025 Class 1A State Champion topped his previous career best of 6′ 8″ under sunshine, light winds, and temperatures in the mid 80’s. Keely will be among the favorites at the Drake Relays high school boys’ high jump tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.

The P-C boys were fifth and the girls were 10th in a field of 10 squads. In addition to Keely’s high jump victory, junior Blaise Schilling won the 200 meter dash in 22.97 seconds. and he was second in the 100 meter dash in :11.43.
