On a bit of a cold and rainy Thursday, DCG sports had a couple of squads in action with track at the Drake Relays and girls golf on the links.

The Mustangs will have 12 events in the Drake Relays, but only one got started on Thursday, and that was Graham Ibeling in the 3200m. Unfortunately, his time of 9.22:86 wasn’t good enough to put him in the top ten, and so he’ll have to wait some time before competing again in the 1600m.

Girls’ golf had itself a good day swinging through a watered-down course in Oskaloosa. Joey Moberg made the podium with a 14 over par, which put her in bronze medal position. She also led the Mustangs to a 4th place finish as a team with 366 strokes, one away from a top three position.
