The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center FFA Chapter took part in the Iowa FFA Convention at the beginning of the week.
Advisor Skie Shull says that the students had much success, bringing home multiple top finishes, gold ratings and state-level honors. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that individuals received Gold Ratings and top five finishes in the Job Interview and Chapter Website Contests. There were also Gold Ratings and State Runner-Up results for individuals in Beef Proficiency and Poultry Production. The Chapter overall earned a Silver Rating in the National Chapter Award Competition, and will be going to the National FFA Convention to be judged in competition there. Many more top performances were had, and 18 individuals received their State Degree, the second highest award for FFA members. Full results can be found in this story online.
