Dallas Center-Grimes girls’ golf and boys tennis were each in action these past two days, and the Mustangs fared well in both of their events.
Boys’ tennis was over in Oskaloosa for a straight-up match against the Indians. The Mustangs completely shut them down on their way to an 11-0 blanking. Brendan Fitzhugh won his sets easily, surrendering just one point. Fisher Krob and Max Johansen had the same result, while Kai Enderlin and Logan Halverson won their singles sets as well. Griffin Kleis had a perfect singles set to help DCG to a perfect 11-0 win over Oskaloosa.
Girls’ golf met up with their Little Hawkeye opponents for the second leg of the conference meets. The Mustangs performed excellently with Joey Moberg in the lead, per usual. She was 12 strokes over par while DCG as a team was only 13 behind the leading Norwalk Warriors. With their good day, the Mustangs have set themselves up well for the next leg of the conference meets.
