The Hill west of Grand Junction and Jefferson Community Golf Course were the sites of the Greene County High School boys’ 18 hole golf tournament on Wednesday. The event was weathered out on April 18 and was made up yesterday. Coach Kyle Kinne’s Greene County Rams shot 308 for the 18 hole tournament, a low score since the Rams have played as Greene County, according to the coach.
Senior Nathan Towers shot 75 to lead the Rams and he was second overall. Senior Carter Hinote shot 77 and was fourth individually, with 78 for both sophomores Connor McAndrews and Keaton Hinote, with McAndrews finishing fifth on a cardback. Coach Kinne said the Rams are on Cloud Nine with their performance and everyone shot lights out.
South Central Calhoun was second at 321, followed by 324 from Grand View Christian (Des Moines), Roland-Story (Story City) 333, Audubon 335, Ogden 336, Southeast Valley (Gowrie), 343, Coon Rapids-Bayard 382, Madrid 400, and ACGC 417.
