The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library is excited for May, but is also looking forward to the summer.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins mentions that they have opened up registration for their summer reading program. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio how families can get their children signed up for the program.

“For that, all you need to do is go to our website, click on summer reading, and then there is a Google form there that you can fill out and register all those kiddos for all of our summer reading activities we have going on.”

Hawkins mentions that this year’s summer reading program theme is “Plant a Seed, Read.” She adds that reading days will take place all throughout June.
