
The Panorama Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams participated in the West Central Activities Conference Meet in Guthrie Center on Tuesday, seeing junior Reed Draper notching the top spot in the Boys Long Jump.
Draper recorded a distance of 21 feet exactly to earn first place in the event. Other great performances by the Panthers included senior Syler Shaffer, who tallied a second place finish in the 400 Meter Hurdles at 57.16 seconds and was fifth in the 110 Meter Hurdles going 16.16 seconds. Also, senior Cristian Monrroy-Nunez captured sixth in the Discus Throw with a mark of 128 feet and 9.25 inches and was eighth in the shot put at 42 feet and 11.50 inches.
On the girls side, Panorama sophomore Emma Walker threw 96 feet and seven inches in the Discus for third place and was fourth in the shot put going 31 feet and six inches, followed by junior Kylie Rochholz that nabbed third in the 1500 Meters at 5:00.33 and went 2:29.36 in the open 800 Meters for fourth place. Senior Ella Carico went a distance of 13 feet and 3.50 inches in the Long Jump event for 11th.
The Panthers will be back in Panora tomorrow to host a Coed Track and Field Invitational, beginning at 4:30pm. The full results from the WCAC Conference Meet can be found by clicking here.
