The West Central Valley Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams took part in the West Central Activities Conference Meet in Guthrie Center on Tuesday, as junior Willow Ray won the Girls High Jump event.
Ray jumped a height of five feet and two inches to capture first place, as senior Talia Williams followed behind in second at five feet exactly. Also, junior Ella Belden ran 28.83 seconds in the open 200 Meters for 10th place, then sophomore Janae Dukes threw 29 feet and 9.50 inches in the shot put for 10th as well.
On the boys side, Wildcat sophomore Kael Sawyers garnered a height of five feet and six inches in the High Jump for sixth place and was also ninth in the open 400 Meters at 56.33 seconds, as sophomore Ethan Balsmeier ran 23.71 seconds in the open 200 Meters for eighth, with sophomore Mason Fortney trailing in ninth at 23.78 seconds. Freshman Caden Lane tallied ninth place in the Long Jump at 18 feet and 8.75 inches.
The West Central Valley Teams will head over to Ogden for a Coed Meet on Friday, starting at 4:30pm. The full results from the WCAC Conference Meet can be found by clicking here.
