On Thursday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys soccer team wrapped up the week at home, playing host to the Waukee Northwest Wolves. The Mustangs battled back in the second half but just fell short, falling to the Wolves 2-1. The Mustangs now sit at 10-3-1 overall.

The Wolves took the lead in the first half, notching in both of their goals for the entire contest. The Mustang defense held on, keeping Waukee Northwest at two goals for a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Motivated Dallas Center-Grimes came out from the break and held the Wolves scoreless. With 25 minutes left, Benjamin Pudenz found Colin Mandernach for his 18th goal of the season. Both defenses hung on resulting in a final score of 2-1 in favor of Waukee Northwest.

Now at 10-3-1, the Mustangs return to action against the Oskaloosa Indians at home on Tuesday. The action on the pitch is set to begin at 7pm.
