The Panorama Girls Soccer Team participated in the Creston Panther Invitational on Saturday, winning two games, first beating Riverside 5-0, then shutting out Creston 10-0.
Both games were played in 30-minute periods. In the first one versus the Bulldogs, the Panthers came away with four goals in the first half to lead 4-0 at the break. The Panthers would capture one more goal in the second half to go onto to win their 10th match 5-0.
Panorama senior Morgan Crees and freshman Kailee Kautzky both led the way with two goals each, followed by junior Nerea Gimeno-Perez’s one goal and two assists, then senior Karli Kautzky added one assist. Also, sophomore goalie Meredith Arganbright tallied five saves in the win.
In the second game against Creston, Panorama erupted for six goals in the first half on their way to a 6-0 lead at the break. The second half would see Panorama score four more goals to complete the 10-0 shutout victory.
In that matchup, Crees tallied seven individual goals, as Kailee Kautzky, Ines and Nerea Gimeno-Perez all recorded one goal each. Also, Arganbright and junior Jamie Fronapfel notched a save in the win.
With the victories, Panorama now improves to 11-1 overall and have won eight straight games. The Panthers will turn their attention to tonight, as they’ll host Des Moines Christian in Panora, starting at 5:30pm.
