The high school boys’ golf postseason starts today for the Greene County Rams. Coach Kyle Kinne’s team plays at a Class 3A Sectional Tournament in Storm Lake at Buena Vista Golf Course starting at 10 a.m. The host Storm Lake Tornadoes and Greene County will be joined by Carroll High, Cherokee, Denison-Schleswig, Harlan Community, MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City), and Sioux Center. MOC-FV is top ranked in 3A.

The Greene County coach told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s excited about the postseason. The regular season has seen Greene County produce school records broken for both nine and 18 hole rounds, plus five different Rams have shot below 80 at least once for 18 holes this season.

The top three teams and top two individuals (plus ties) that are not on qualifying teams will advance to the Monday, May 18 3A District tournament in Orange City at the Landsmeer Course.
