It’s National Hospital Week and Dallas County Hospital and Family Medicine Clinics is celebrating all of its employees.

Chief Executive Officer Angela Mortoza talks about the importance of the annual week.

“The hospital recognizes Hospital Week instead of individual observations for positions so we can really demonstrate the teamwork that goes into running the hospital and amplify the importance of all positions.”

She is appreciative of all the work that the hospital employees do.

“Here at Dallas County Hospital, we offer a unique hospital working environment that really many are used to. While this is our official week celebration, it’s really a weekly practice. Whether formally through different events we host or informally with common gestures like handwritten thank yous or a verbal focused recognition. In fact, I think most team members will tell you that they feel genuinely cared about and are more than just a number, and this translates into exceptional patient care provided by all areas.”

Mortoza adds that Dallas County Hospital is hosting a number of events throughout the week, including free treats and drinks from area food trucks, along with relaxation opportunities.
