A large portion of the Raccoon Valley Radio area could see some severe weather later today.

According to the National Weather Service, all of Greene and Dallas Counties, along with a majority of Guthrie County is an enhanced risk for severe weather. The National Weather Service says an enhanced risk is a category three of five. 

The National Weather Service anticipates the largest threats with the severe weather is damaging winds of 60 to 75 miles per hour and up to two inch diameter hail. NWS Meteorologists suggest the timing for the severe weather is from 5pm this evening through 4am tomorrow. 

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team provides live coverage anytime there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning that is issued for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie Counties. The live coverage continues until the storm moves out of the area or drops below severe levels.
