On Thursday, the Perry Jayettes soccer team wrapped up the week on the road, traveling to Hoover High School to face off against the Huskies. Momentum shifted back into the Jayettes favor, as Perry picked up the victory defeating Hoover 1-0.

Both teams struggled to gain ground offensively in the first half, but Perry continued to battle with keeper Karina Perez leading the defense. Addison Perks continues to battle in the final moments of the first half but could not sneak a goal in, resulting in a halftime score tied at 0-0. The defensive battle continued, but with 20:22 Analeigh Van Broekhuizen sent a beautiful pass to Perks who notched in the lone goal of the match, to grant Perry the victory over the Huskies 1-0.

Now at 5-6-2, the Jayettes prepare for the final week of the regular season, facing off against Des Moines North on Tuesday in Des Moines, with the action set to begin at 7pm.
