The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer Team hosted Norwalk in Adel on Tuesday, dropping their fourth contest 5-0.
It didn’t take long for the Warriors to open the scoring, as senior Addy Wood captured a goal in the first two and half minutes of the game for an early 1-0 lead. Seven minutes later, senior Avery Drymon gave Norwalk a 2-0 advantage from a corner kick opportunity, which would go on to be the score at the break.
Drymon would nab her second goal approximately five minutes into the second half seeing the Warriors go up 3-0. With 13 minutes remaining, Norwalk senior Aubrey Holcomb tallied the fourth goal to reach a 4-0 lead. After a penalty was called on ADM two minutes later, Warrior senior Tatum Miller was given a penalty shot, which would get to the back of the net and ultimately give Norwalk a 5-0 victory.
The wins pushes the Warriors to 13-1-2 on the season, while the Tigers finish the year at 11-4-1 overall. Norwalk will travel to Bondurant on Friday to play the Bluejays, and ADM will prepare for the Class 2A Region 8 Semifinal game on June 2nd, either against Sergeant Bluff-Luton or Denison-Schleswig.
