For the second time in less than a week, Perry junior Emma Olejniczak tossed a three hit shutout as the Jayettes defeated Bondurant Farrar 5-0 in RRC action. Ironically, Olejniczak matched her season high of 14 strikeouts which she hit this past Saturday in the win against IKM. Perry jumped on the board in the 3rd inning when Johanna Diw blasted a 2-run homerun to give the Jayettes a 2-0 lead. Back to back RBI’s by Victoria Hegstrom and Sidney Vancil pushed the lead to 4-0 after the 4th inning. Perry finished the scoring with an Olejniczak RBI in the 5th.
The Jayettes finished with 8 hits on the night. Perry improves to 7-5 on the season and 2-4 in the conference while BF falls to 0-5 in RRC play and 5-9 on the year.
Perry travels to Huxley for another RRC showdown with Ballard tonight before heading to Woodward Granger Friday and Saturday.
