Greene County High School freshman Ashlee Harmeyer and her teammates are having a successful cross-country season. The Rams have a young team with Harmeyer being one of several ninth graders. She talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the difficulties of moving from middle school to high school and the distance increasing to 3.1 miles. “It’s definitely a tough one! I think it all depends on the weather.” She told Raccoon Valley Radio what weather she liked to run in, and the type of course she prefers. “For weather, I like it not too cool, not too hot, warm. For courses, I like those with not too many hills, but not totally flat because you need some momentum going down the hills.”

Harmeyer and the rest of the girls and boys from Greene County HS will run on Thursday, Sept. 22 in Story City at the Roland-Story Norsemen Invitational.
