The public is invited to a community fundraiser in Scranton today.
Scranton Sesquicentennial Committee is sponsoring a community garage sale at Curly and Carol Eason Farm today starting at 7am. There are over 400 items at the garage sale. Some of the featured items include: an outdoor patio set with a table and four chairs, two dressers, craft items and yard decorations.
Host and organizer Carol Eason says they are trying to raise funds to secure event vendors and purchase memorabilia in preparation for the City’s 150th celebration in June of 2019. She adds that they are trying to raise at least $1,000.
The committee is grateful for all donations made to the garage sale. There will also be homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee for a small donation.
