2017-Fair-Page-ImageThe Guthrie County Fair is just two days away. Many County residents have been working hard to make their projects and presentations stand out this year. Although the hardest working group may be the rabbit hopping trainers.

Guthrie County Extension 4-H Coordinator Mollie Clark explains the training regimen. “They’re teaching them to run in a straight line and hop at different heights. They have been working every two weeks with their rabbits throughout the summer.” The rabbit hopping exhibit is scheduled for Sunday at 7pm.

As a reminder, the Guthrie County Extension Office will be at the Fair starting on Thursday. They will be located just north of the 4-H food stand. Friday through Sunday the food stand will be offering $7 specials. Friday is veggie burgers, Saturday is pork loin, and Sunday is hot beef. Meals feature chips and a pop.

Plus, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will also be there broadcasting live everyday of the fair. We will be announcing results, playing music and making important announcements throughout the fair.
