Perry City Council 8-21

At the recent Perry City Council meeting, the first pay request for the police department’s sally port project was approved.

The contractor, JAS Concrete, submitted a request in the amount of $210,268.20 for work completed through September 12th. The Council has been pleased with the contractor’s work on the project, which has taken several years to get off the ground. They unanimously approved the first pay request. City Administrator Sven Peterson also updated the Council on the current progress of the project. “The sally port project is coming along great now. They’ve got the floor poured, and they’ve got most of the structure up. So now it’ll just be a matter of doing the insulation, the outer shell, and then the interior finishes. It’s a great contractor, and the project’s really coming along great now.”

Peterson says the current timetable is for the police department to be able to utilize the sally port by Thanksgiving. To hear more about the recent Perry City Council meeting, listen to Tuesday’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
