The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved a letter of request to join the Central Iowa Community Services region, after announcing their withdrawal from the Heart of Iowa Community Services region last month. The Board then approved several 2018 fiscal year budget amendments, following a public hearing in which no public comments were made.

The Board also approved a $5,000 Louis Dreyfus funding request for Region XII Council of Governments for their Housing Trust Fund to do a pilot housing program in Jefferson at 606 North Cedar Street. Additionally, the Board approved the County Recorder’s report of fees for October of $7,189, the Sheriff’s quarterly fees report for July through September of $52,785 and hiring three full time employees for the Secondary Roads Department. The three new employees are: Brad Ebersole, Alex Gettler and Steven Springer.
