DCC Skull

Dallas County Conservation invites inquisitive minds to a special program coming soon at the Kuehn Conservation Area.

On February 10th from 1-3 p.m., they will be hosting an event called “Skull Saturday.” It will be an open house afternoon, where attendees can come and go as they please and learn about what the bones of animals, especially the skulls, can tell us about them. There will be examples from all kinds of creatures, including mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles. Additionally, you can bring any skulls you may have found in your own travels. The naturalists will help you identify the skulls and teach you about the animals they came from.

There is no cost to attend “Skull Saturday,” and pre-registration is not required. For more information on this and other Dallas County Conservation events, call the Forest Park Museum and Arboretum at 515-465-3577.
