Tickets are now available for the next Perry Fine Arts concert.
Coming up next month, the organization brings Doreen’s Jazz New Orleans to the Perry Performing Arts Center.
The well-known group has produced 21 CDs and 3 DVDs, performed on five different continents and for four U.S. presidents. Leader Doreen Ketchens has been called the “Queen Clarinet” and the “female Louie Armstrong”. In addition to their performances, Ketchens and her husband Lawrence regularly perform in schools around the world, educating students of all languages and spreading the culture and music of New Orleans.
The concert takes place Saturday September 28th at 7pm. Tickets are $10 each and available from the Perry Chamber of Commerce, the First United Methodist Church or at the door.
