The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The meeting began with the Board receiving an update from County Attorney Brenna Bird. Next, they reviewed the initial website design and messaging/theme concepts for the law enforcement center addition bond referendum communication plan with Sheriff’s Office personnel and Marketing Manager Shelley Rowe of The Samuels Group, Inc. All parties were pleased with the concepts, and Rowe said she plans to have the site finalized by October 29th. The Supervisors also asked Rowe to send them images of the proposed web pages so they can look them over this week and give any additional input.

Next, the Board approved a resolution to revise the county’s five-year road program for a summer bridge replacement project that was previously estimated to cost $930,000, and is now estimated at $1.25 million. Finally, the Board directed County Auditor Marci McClellan to put a resolution on the next meeting agenda to transfer $14,000 of the Conservation Board’s remaining fiscal year 2019 funds into the Conservation Reserve fund. They also approved a payroll change notice for Conservation Maintenance/Technician Ted Scheuermann, as the Conservation Board increased his salary to $42,000 after several months of discussion, according to Conservation Director Joe Hanner. After two previous motions failed, the notice was approved on a 4-1 vote.
