An Adel woman was taken into police custody this past weekend, following an alleged domestic assault incident earlier this month.

According to the Adel Police Department, on December 14th they received a report of a domestic situation in the 200 block of South 17th Street. The alleged victim told officers that 57-year-old Pamela Kae McGrean had “body-slammed” him into a bathtub and pulled his hair and beard violently. She had reportedly been under the influence of alcohol at the time and drove her vehicle through the yard while leaving the property. McGrean wasn’t immediately located, but an arrest warrant was issued on December 16th.

She was located and arrested on December 29th, charged with third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault, a class D felony, as well as a simple misdemeanor for driving while barred – habitual offender. She was booked into the Dallas County Jail and held on $5,000 bond. McGrean was also issued a no-contact order with the victim, and is not allowed to possess firearms while it’s in place.
