The City of Adel continues to work on more than $24 million worth of water projects.

The biggest of the group is construction on the new City water treatment plant. Crews have spent the last few months working inside the facility. While construction remains on pace for a spring 2021 finish, the City is still waiting on a pumping component that’s been delayed overseas due to COVID-19. Other progress made over the summer includes completing a raw water main transmission, water main installation on Rapids Street and Bryan Street, and partial completion of two new water wells.
