2:59pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on 220th Street near Orchard Avenue.

5:33pm: The Sheriff investigated a car deer accident on 220th Street near R Avenue. Rhonda Harding 62 of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country van causing an estimated 5000 dollars damage.

5:43pm: The Sheriff investigated a 2nd accident with the same deer on 220th Street near R Avenue. Jeanette Stoffa 41 of Grand Junction moved to the shoulder of the roadway to miss a vehicle that was partially in her lane and struck the deceased deer that was on the shoulder of the roadway causing an estimated 3000 dollars damage. Jeanette was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
