A Grand Junction man was recently arrested for drugs.

According to court documents, 56-year-old Martin Tolsdorf was charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from an executed search warrant at a home in the 200 block of North Locust Street in Jefferson at 10:13am on March 16th. Court documents show the warrant was related to a drug investigation. The deputy arrested Tolsdorf and as the deputy was searching his person, a glass smoking device with burnt white residue was found, along with a black tin can and  Tolsdorf admitted there was methamphetamine inside. After Tolsford gave permission to remove the substance, a narcotics identification kit test was performed and preliminary results were positive for meth.

Tolsdorf was booked and released from the Greene County Jail after he posted a $500 bond. Court documents additionally show that Tolsdorf also violated his probation from a previous felony conviction in December of 2019. He was serving two years of probation for a felony for possession of a controlled substance.
