Jefferson native Johnny “Hollywood” Case made his professional boxing debut on Saturday night in Jefferson. He won by knockout at the 1:10 mark of the second round over Jamarious Brown at Wild Rose Casino & Resort as part of Extreme Maximum Fightfest.

A longtime MMA fighter, Case was offered the opportunity to box in Jefferson due to COVID-19 and the Olympics scrapping a scheduled MMA fight in Japan. He took advantage and is now a pro boxer in addition to being a veteran of MMA. Case grew up as a wrestler for Jefferson-Scranton High School.
