With the summer sports season officially over for WCV let’s look ahead to the fall.

WCV will be playing in Class 1A District 7. The Wildcats will kickoff the 2021 season at home against North Mahaska on August 27. The Warhawks went 3-5 last season. The next week WCV will hit the road to play Red Oak (0-8 in 2020).  The Wildcats will be on the road the next two weeks after that playing AC/GC (3-5) and Van Meter (12-1). Panorama (6-3) and Nodaway Valley (4-6) will be the last two home games for the Wildcats. They’ll wrap up the season on the road against Interstate 35, Truro (6-3).

The Wildcats were 1-7 in 2020 under first year head coach Jim Lindsay. WCV and Lindsay won’t have an easy season in 2021 but experience and continuity could help them in the tough season.
