
The drought conditions are looking better after some rainfall for the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.
According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, The southeastern portion of Guthrie County and the majority of Dallas and Greene counties are in a moderate drought. Additionally, the majority of Guthrie County and the southeastern corner of Dallas County and southwestern corner of Greene County are abnormally dry.
According to the National Weather Service, since the beginning of September through this past Friday, Perry has received 0.16-inches of rainfall, Jefferson had 0.18-inches of rainfall, and Guthrie Center saw 0.1-inches.
