With National 4-H Week coming up, there is one activity with the Greene County 4-H program that has a deadline for entries fast approaching.
Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms says new this year is a pumpkin decorating contest. She points out that any 4-H’er can decorate a pumpkin however they want. Once the pumpkin is decorated, a picture of the pumpkin must be sent to Willms. She will then post the picture on the Greene County 4-H Facebook page and from there, Willms says voting will take place for those participants to win prizes.
“Check out our Facebook page and like, comment or share on your favorite pumpkin picture and that 4-H’er who wins the most likes, shares or comments will win a prize at the end of the week also.”
Pumpkin pictures must be submitted to Willms by tomorrow, with voting to take place during National 4-H Week next week from October 3rd-9th. There is a limit of one pumpkin entry per 4-H’er.
