The Guthrie County Courthouse will not be utilizing their dropbox for ballots for this upcoming city/school elections in November.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink explains what voters should do if they’re going to drop off a ballot.
“You drop it off during business hours (at the courthouse) or just put it in the mail and that’s the one thing with them being pre posted and things like that. It just kind of makes it easier but we do not have the facilityto have more than one drop box.”
Fink says that the dropbox will still be monitored by a security camera 24/7 just in case someone puts a ballot in there. She adds that all of these changes to early voting were passed by the Iowa Legislature this pass session and signed into law by Governor Kim Reynolds.
