Perry sophomore Drake Levan scored a career high 18 points but it wasn’t enough Tuesday as West Marshall defeated Perry 72-55 in Heart in Iowa action from State Center. Levan caught fire early, scoring the first seven points for Perry. The Bluejays led 12-8 late in the first quarter but the Joey Tollefson quickly turned the Trojans around propelling a 16-2 run over a five minute stretch to give West Marshall a double digit halftime lead. Perry could never cut it down to single digits in the second half. Holden Smith scored 11 points before fouling out while freshman Owen Myers continues to impress with 10 points and 3 steals. Perry falls to 0-12 and will host Woodward Academy Thursday night in a boys game only.
