The Guthrie County Extension Office is going to start providing training for a person’s best friend.

Dog Obedience Classes will begin on June 7th and will continue every Tuesday for 10 weeks at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds starting at 7pm. These classes will be open to the public for all ages but FFA and 4H youth need to take these classes if they intend to show their dog at the Guthrie County Fair. Dogs will learn commands such as heal, sit, stand for examination and much more. Each dog must be at least five months old and have their rabies shot and distemper certification. Pat Wyatt will teach each class. The cost per dog for youth will be $15 and for adults the amount will be $30 per dog. For more information including the registration visit here.
