The Perry High School’s Music Department will have their spring concert on Monday.

The concert will start at 7pm at the Perry Performing Arts Center with free admission. Vocal Music Director Jen Nelson says that their mixed choir, treble clef choir and bass clef choir will be performing and then the high school concert band will also perform. She explains that this concert will be similar to their upcoming performance for the Iowa High School Music Association’s Large Group Festival on May 5th.

“Some of the pieces we had done earlier in the year so we kind of brought them back to polish them up to get them ready for (IHSMA) large group but we also have new music as well.”

After all the performances are over, they will also have an awards ceremony. The Perry High School Music Department has roughly 100 students taking part in this spring concert.
