The Perry football team will see quite a few new faces when the Iowa high school season opens up this fall.  After dropping down a class to 3A after the state’s reclassifying system was changed to include free and reduced lunch rate, Perry will play five district games and four non-district battles.

The Bluejays will open up at home on August 25th against Des Moines Hoover.  Perry ousted Hoover last year in overtime.  The annual cowbell game has Perry traveling to Greene County for a week two battle.  Perry finishes their non-district schedule with a home game against Ogden and a road trip to Storm Lake.  The Tornadoes went 0-9 last year in Class 4A.

Perry opens up district play at home September 22nd against Nevada.  Perry’s toughest game will be a week 6 road trip to defending state champion Harlan.  Perry continues the southwest Iowa trek the following week at Atlantic, before closing out the season at home against Knoxville and Creston.
