Greene County plays Class 2A first round Playoff football tonight at Clarinda against the host Cardinals. Game time is 7 p.m. and coverage on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins with Football Friday Night at 6 o’clock.

The Rams are 4-4 overall and they finished in third place in Class 3A District 8 with a 3-2 mark after winning their last two regular season games in down-to-the-wire fashion. Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams are taking on a Clarinda team that is 6-2 with its only losses to 1A playoff qualifier Treynor, and to District 7 Champion Van Meter, a perennial power. The Cardinals finished second to VM in District 7.

The winner advances to the Round of 16 on Nov. 1 at a site and opponent to be determined.
