Now that the football and volleyball seasons have come to a close for the West Central Valley, the Wildcats begin to focus on the winter sports including boys basketball. Athletes interested in joining the Wildcat boys basketball team can attend the open gyms held at West Central Valley High School every Monday and Wednesday from 3:45 – 6pm.

Coached by Tyler Bleckwehl, Micah Speichenger was the only junior on the team last year and can be expected to return for his senior season. The Wildcats do have depth when it comes to juniors on the roster, including Cael Lawson, Landon Brumley, Aiden Clauson, Roman Hammond, Kade Wilson, Kason Bender, Adrian Wahlert, and Jarel Madison. The Wildcat basketball team has their first game of the season on Monday, December 1st as the Wildcats host the Lamoni Demons.
