The Perry Community School Board met in regular session on Monday.
According to Superintendent Clark Wicks, the board agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Exito for the current school year to help provide tutoring, mentoring, afterschool and academic enrichment opportunities, family engagement, plus college experience and preparation for Latinx students. He notes that agreement will expire on June 30th, 2026.
Wicks says other items on the agenda that were approved included a food service agreement with New Opportunities, voluntary early retirement for the 2025-26 school year, accepting 2025-26 legislative resolutions, revisions to the community use of school district facilities and equipment policy, and staff attendance guidelines.
