
The Perry Fine Arts will be opening its 2025-26 concert series with its first show tomorrow.
According to Chairperson Cathy Clark, “The McGovern String Band” is an Acoustic Americana and Bluegrass All-String Band that consists of father and son singers, Kelly and Brian McGovern, plus bass player David Morris, Five-string banjo player Daren Blythe, fiddler Sam Packard and resophonic guitar player Steve Blazek. Clark is excited for the new season, as each show will feature a variety of talent.
“Lots of different kinds of art, music, and dance, and just all kinds of things, so we really appreciate you joining (us).”
She notes that the show is free to the public, and that the Perry Fine Arts will accept donations. The concert is happening at the Perry Performing Arts Center, 1200 18th Street, tomorrow at 2pm.
