The Adel Public Library will be hosting an educational program revolving around a historical event on Saturday.
Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the library will be teaching participants about the history of the Holocaust. She explains the program will be led by Iowa native Brad Wilkening and elaborates on what guests can learn.
“He will be presenting about how understanding the Holocaust and researching can help us better meet the world with compassion and so, he’ll talk about the history of the Holocaust and some survival stories.”
Schwarz details that the event is being offered to adults over the age of 19, due to the sensitive and horrifying events that the Holocaust involved. She concludes that the program is happening for free inside the library on Saturday from 1-3pm. For more information, contact the Adel Public Library at (515)-993-3512.
