Greene County begins the varsity girls’ basketball season tonight in Woodward vs. Woodward-Granger in non-conference action. The Hawks were 13-10 last season and return nearly the whole roster from last season. The Rams have lost 27 games in a row including all 23 last season, but the return of senior point guard Becca Anderson after knee surgery certainly is a boost. Anderson was injured in January 2024, missing most of that season and all of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Rams are again missing some players to start this season due to injury, but head coach Tori Ogden is hopeful the Rams will be closer to full strength soon.
There will be two JV quarters played at 6 o’clock tonight, followed by the varsity contest, which will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
